Everything documented about modafinil applies here: the mechanism, the approximately fifteen hour half life, CYP3A4 induction and the consequent interaction with hormonal contraceptives, the risk of serious dermatological reactions, and the pregnancy contraindications adopted in the EU, UK, Canada and Australia.
